This popular course offers beginners and those who have already begun their creative journey a unique & flexible course offering to develop their creative skills. Whether seeking to continue formal learning, a career in an art related field or sheer personal enjoyment and growth the Diploma of Visual Arts enables students to achieve their personal goals.

The Diploma of Visual Arts is a well planned introduction to the fundamentals of art covering drawing skills, colour theory and design principles. These fundamentals are then applied to a variety of mediums including watercolour, acrylics, pastels, printmaking and mixed media.

The Diploma of Visual Arts is taught by professional artists, many award winners in their field, providing extremely high standards of teaching as well as connections into the art world and ability to share real life experiences as artists.

A nurturing & embracing environment where there is encouragement to explore and improve creatively from dedicated teachers and staff is backed up by small class sizes that foster close teacher/student relationships as well as friendships between students. Students come away with a portfolio which can be used to continue formal education. The annual students and teachers exhibition offers students the opportunity to exhibit & sell their works. A second year is available for those wishing to explore the various mediums to greater depth or specialise in certain areas.

Duration: 31 - 34 weeks (1 day or evening per week)
Times: 10–2.30 pm or 6–9pm
Cost: $3300 (inc GST) An instalment payment plan is available.

Courses commencing February and March 2012. Courses run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays daytime and Wednesday evenings. For course days please contact the school. Courses run during school terms and finish in April 2012.
