Directors Profile

We offer a variety of fun, exciting courses for children 5–12yrs.
Classes are skills based with a max of 10 students to ensure individual attention.
All materials and visual diaries are provided.
Children can come straight from school from 3.15 and enjoy an afternoon tea in the garden before starting the class at 3.45

Saturday Times: 10-12noon

Monday: Artmaking - Drawing - Painting and Pottery/Sculpture (5-9 yrs)
Time: 3.45 - 5.15pm
 
An exciting course offering a range of learning experiences and concepts to spark the imagination and creativity of children. Children gain confidence through sharing ideas, experimenting with a variety of mediums & learning basic skills.
Children will learn drawing techniques and paint in a range of mediums including watercolour, acrylics and pastels on a variety of surfaces including canvas. Pottery/sculpture will also be included in this course.
 
Tuesday: JUNIOR ARTXTRA (8–12 yrs)
Time: 3.45-5.30pm
 
An excellent structured program designed specifically for students wishing to learn the basic skills of art-making and build upon them. Children will gain confidence in their ability to draw realistically and creatively and experience a range of visual arts areas including drawing, acrylic painting, watercolour, pastels, printmaking, sculpture, design and mixed-media.
 
Wednesday: DRAWING / PAINTING / POTTERY /SCULPTURE (5–12yrs)
Times: 3.45 - 5.15pm
 
A fun course for young students to learn to draw, paint and experiment with a variety of arts and crafts including sculpture, pottery, textiles and mosaics. Children will learn drawing techniques and paint in a range of mediums including watercolour, acrylics and pastels on a variety of surfaces including canvas.
 
Thursday: JUNIOR ARTXTRA (8–12yrs)
Times: 3.45 - 5.30pm

Creative Photography for Kids
Times: Wednesdays 3.45 - 5.15pm
 
This is a 1.5 hour workshop for young people interested in the creative potential of
Digital Photography. Starting with Macro and Super-Macro Techniques. The workshop also involves computer editing effects involving Picasa 2 and I Photo. The emphasis of the workshop is on “Creativity”.
Some experience with Digital Camera is necessary. Participants need to be computer literate. Please bring your digital camera and USB cable and fully charged battery.
Workshop Outline
Focus and composition techniques using Zoom, Macro and Super- macro.
Using editing software to improve photos, change photos and special effects. Making slideshows and using special effects like Transitions and Ken Burns effects. Burning your creative work to CD.
Cost $100.00  (max 4 students per class).
