Teen Program (9–16yrs)
NSVA offers an exciting and diverse range of courses for 9-16 years. All courses prepare students for major school assignments, HSC works and future studies.(max 10 students) Students 15 years and over are also welcome to join all adult courses. Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesday Thursdays and Saturdays during school term. Holiday workshops and private tuition are also available.
Students can join classes at any time throughout the term if spots available. .

A unique course for students wishing to improve their drawing and painting skills and learn basic colour, design and fundamentals of artmaking . Mediums covered include acrylics, watercolour, pastels and mixed-media. Graduate with a comprehensive portfolio of artwork. |

Contemporary Pottery/Sculpture
5.30-7pm (8 weeks)

Students explore the tactile qualities of clay and hand-building techniques -design and develop your ideas into actual artworks. Learn a variety of surface treatments as well as underglazes, glazes and kiln firing. |

Drawing and Painting in a Variety of Mediums

This hands on course provides an excellent range of drawing and painting activities teaching skills in a range of mediums including pencil, pastels, watercolour, acrylics , oils ,printmaking and textiles.
Gain confidence to draw and paint the world around you using a variety of subjects including still- life, nude, portraiture and landscapes. Techniques in line, form shape, contour, shading and various exercises will be practiced. Gaining an understanding of what drawing is through varied artists and approaches is invaluable and encourages students to find their own self expression. |
